Once upon a time, one year ago, there was a text from Sandra to Jake, "Is she here yet?" It was 6pm, and another day was wrapping up, baby girl unborn. Jake to Sandra, "No." She: "Well, if she gets here before midnight she and Royce can have the same birthday." And very shortly after, I felt the pangs of her arrival. And then at the whirlwind of 8pm sharp and no epidural (again), she was here.
Little Lucy and Rockin Royce have the same birthday. How could we not celebrate it together?
Made better by the royal appearances of the toothless.
The weather was unusually persistent. Good thing we had cute kids and yellow balloons. And I know how to make chalkboard paint, now anyway. All good things.
Lots of kid food, and wraps, and a cake for adults to appreciate.
In pouring rain, we traded the outing to the Olympic Game Farm for The Marine Life Center.
And since it's a little
creepy fishy, the little ones tend to gather for some sand table time.
It was a terrific day for our family.
Oh how we love little Lucy! Happy Birthday, you are doing a great job learning, growing, and being happy.
